Level-Up Experiences

The following are recommended ways for you to level-up your Leadership skills this month.  Feel free to use these suggestions or come up with your own. Once you have finished an experience, be sure to add it to your accomplishment tracker.

  • Find a Mentor - There are often people in our lives who are able and willing to be our mentors,  we just have to ask them the right questions. Make a list of people you know who are great leaders, and consider reaching out to them to ask them questions about their career, life, or leadership style.

  • Make Leadership the topic of your next 1:1 supervisor meeting - In your next meeting with your supervisor, let leadership be a primary topic of conversation. Discuss their leadership as your supervisor, and ask questions like “How do you think I could be a better leader in our workplace?” or “In what ways have you seen my leadership skills increase since I started working here? What advice do you have?” Make sure to take note of their advice and find ways for you to make actionable changes!

  • Join an on-campus leadership program - Clubs and organizations provide an opportunity to get involved and gain more leadership skills. Check out a few ideas below!
    1. Undergraduate Student Government
    2. Programming and Activities Board
    3. Sun Devil Sync
