Level-Up Experiences
The following are recommended ways for you to practice and level-up your teamwork skills this month within your current job. Feel free to use these suggestions or come up with your own. Once you have finished an experience, be sure to add it to your accomplishment tracker.
Learn a New Technological Skill and Apply it
Prepare: Look on LinkedIn Learning or other learning platforms for a course on a new technological skill you think might be helpful for you to learn or that you are interested in. It may be helpful to assess your current position to see if there are certain skills that would be more beneficial.
Take Action: Complete the course and determine how you can practice your new skillset in your current role. Be sure to ask permission where needed.
Reflect: Reflect on what you learned and how you can continue to use these skills. Are there additional ways that you can implement these skills in your department or daily life?
Use Technology to get Organized
Prepare: With a variety of assignments from work and school it can be challenging to keep track of everything. Determine an online organization tool that you could use to keep track of projects and assignments.
Take Action: Use your selected online tool to organize your tasks and time. Commit to sticking with this tool for at least two weeks.
Reflect: At the end of your two weeks, reflect on your overall organization. How did it change things? Was it beneficial to keeping track of your to dos?
Use Technology to be more Efficent
Prepare: There are many ways that technology can make work or school work more efficient. Think of a project you are currently working on and how you can be more efficient.
Take Action: Use your resources, such as LinkedIn Learn, to learn the skills necessary to be more efficient in a certain task or area. For example, using formulas in excel.
Reflect: Consider the skills you learned and how you can continue to use them. How did this new process affect your task completion and is it worth continuing?
